Payment Overdue

The nations most impacted by climate change - and least responsible for it - have long been bearing the financial burden of recovery. Representing these countries, the Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) needed to mobilise global leaders at COP27 and demand the establishment of an international Loss and Damage Fund. Our challenge was clear: create a campaign that would amplify their call for justice on a global scale.

Naming the
injustice

We created the campaign identity #PaymentOverdue to capture the urgency of reparations for climate-vulnerable nations. This included the campaign name, logo, hashtag and messaging - all designed to deliver a powerful narrative of overdue accountability.

Youth voices amplified

Notable youth activists, including 11-year-old Licypriya Kangujam and 10-year-old Nakeeyat Dramani, lent their voices to the campaign, emphasising the urgency of action and contributing to the campaign’s global visibility.

Content that travels

We delivered a comprehensive suite of content, including static graphics, GIFs and a digital toolkit with shareable assets tailored for global partners. A dedicated campaign landing page allowed supporters to easily sign the handraiser in solidarity and amplify the cause.

We ensured all campaign materials were strategically designed and translated to resonate with international audiences, making the message unmissable across continents.

GETTING Results

• The campaign was a huge success, culminating in the historic announcement of the Loss and Damage Fund at COP27.

• Generated 6.7 million social media impressions.

• Toolkit usage led to hundreds of global partners and individuals creating their own #PaymentOverdue posts.
