The bristol cable

Billboard Campaign | Community Growth | Fundraising

Beyond the Bulls#It

We teamed up with The Bristol Cable to launch a no-nonsense membership drive that put independent, investigative media in the spotlight. We kicked things off with a billboard takeover that called out mainstream media giants like Rupert Murdoch and Piers Morgan while championing local, community-led journalism. The goal: get Bristol to back its own newsroom and keep journalism independent, accountable and alive.

A bold start

We hit the streets with billboards plastered with provocative messages like “Give Murdoch the Finger. Give the Cable a Fiver.” The unmissable visuals made people stop and think about where their news - and their money - should go.

Cutting through the noise

The campaign tapped into Bristol’s spirit with witty and direct messaging that spoke to the city’s values. Flyers and posters showed up in indie cafés and community spaces, reinforcing that the Cable belongs to the people. Alongside the outdoor campaign, we amplified the message with targeted social media posts and digital ads.
